(Shauna's mummy writes...)
We were woken up by some noise and we realised that our little girl had pulled herself up, and was standing up on her cot trying to get our attention!
This has become a ritual since.. she will wake up and lie there talking to herself softly.. erm erm... ar ar... daadaa.. mmm (exploring her vocals i guess) until she gets bored, then she will sit up look around, then pull herself up to standing position. If after a while, she does not get any attention from anyone, she will then start to make louder noises.. AHH.. EHHMMmmmm... until we appear or wake up and say "Shauna!!" ... then she will give you her toothless smile and wait for you to come over and say "good morning Shauna" and use her hands to pull you closer to her, meaning she wants you to carry.
How I wish that we can be there every morning when she wakes up and that it is mummy's face or daddy's face that she sees the first each day!
